AEMAS Project
Another project that the Unit has an interest in is on the development and activities of the "Feasibility Study for the Establishment of the ASEAN Energy Manager Accreditation Scheme" (AEMAS).

AEMAS is an initiative sponsored by the ASEAN Centre for Energy and the European Commission through the EC-ASEAN Energy Facility. It is now been designed by EEC Energetics, in partnership with the Copper Development Centre Southeast Asia (Singapore), the National Energy Foundation (UK), and the Irish Productivity Centre (Ireland). Once the AEMAS is established (in 2005), it will provide a regional training resource center and a regional accreditation scheme for:
-
Professionals wanting to become qualified energy managers; and
-
Energy end-users (industries and large buildings, referred to as "organizations" looking for public recognition of their energy performance and contribution to environmental protection.
Detailed information regarding AEMAS can be obtained through the project website at www.aseanemas.org
